International immigration and final consumption expenditure composition

Abstract Focusing on EU countries, we analyze the influence of immigration flows demand for different aggregate categories final consumption goods. Using cross-country heterogeneity in and preference structures, find that when people move from a country to another, sectoral preferences characterizing origin affect structure host country.
